Airwolfen
Now this is a quick thought i had, nothing really thought out. But in my opinion void has a very high LFG wall, the current system with only a LFG chat is very messy, and setting up a run where all 4 people spend a key of their own to do 4 runs is a very irritating process. There are two ways that would not fundamentally change how keys fully work. One would be to set up a LFG system and that would require a whole lot of work to set up properly. And the other is to add something I would call key "charges" Now how does it work at this moment and what is this LFG wall? Take a look at the standard way of entering a mission. You go into a mission (xini for example), and the system will check if there are open slots to put you in, or it will wait for a second person. And while inside other people can fill up open slots. Keys stop this process because 1 key is 1 trip to the void and 4 people using the key to move into a mission would be 4 keys for one trip. And that is why there is a LFG wall. In order to fully profit from keys you need to set up a party in the LFG thread and that is messy and just not a good experience. (+ the regular idiot who does not invite when he gets the turn to use his key. Now what are these charges? Simple. 1 key = 4 key charges. Use your key to enter the void where (on online mode) you will be matched like you would in a normal mission and each time you complete a mission, a charge is used. allowing you to enter that void mission 4 times regardless of who is "hosting" as every one contributes 1/4th of their key for that run. Now there are problems indeed. There are still groups where one wants to invite people without keys. Maybe set it up in a way that if you enter in private. the whole key will be used but will allow you to invite 3 other (keyless) members. TL;DR: Start from "Now what are these charges?" You wont get a shorter version than that. Ty for reading. Edited May 4, 2014 by Airwolfen
