Farming R5 Cores

I have a bunch of mods that, for my rank in the game, should have been maxed out a long time ago but aren't (Looking @ you, serration). 

 

I'm going to need a bunch of R5's to do this though, and I'm fresh out.  Where is the best place to get a large number of R5 cores in the shortest period of time?

If you do T4 Survivals you could get roughly 20 R5 Cores.

You get 5 R5's almost constantly on every rotation.

T4?  Damn; I won't survive T4.  I tried T3 once and I got pillaged instantaneously.

I'd suggest ODS for farming cores, personally. It's not too hard, especially if you and/or people you know have potential for a Vauban+Nekros combo. Every 5 minutes (except 20/40/etc) is either an R5 core or a T1/T2 Key. Since Infested swarm in large numbers, hiding in a corner behind a Vortex will get lots of loot, especially when paired with lots of Desecrating. Plus, assuming you kill them relatively quickly, Life Support isn't much of an issue.

I'm sure ODD would work well too, but Survival is generally the way to go for me. Also, I suggest OD instead of Dark Sectors because you get more enemies more consistently, resulting in more drops. Plus, if you need Orokin Cells by any chance, this can get those too :p

People pay for cores (other than legendary)? I honestly never would have "thunk" it.

 

I always just assumed you just wait for them accumulate over time.

Did you tried to solo t3? Just go to recruitment channel and look for t4 survival. If you have some kind of desenct gear and your team is good, it is no problem to go 40-50 min and you get in between 25-30 rare 5 + forma bp and maybe even a loki prime part.
