Questions On Game File Size.

Everyone's all out on U14 and I'm talking something not-so-. mainstream

Warframe is constantly getting a lot of updates. And recently, The Mad Cephalon. It's 896MB in size.

So I was wondering, there's so many stuff burying in the game folders. The game is probably 7GB+ compared to last year's 2GB.

I believe that there are potentially unused stuff/junk files/leftovers abandoned in Warframe's data? If yes, is it possible to remove them and reduced the overall game size?

Because that would be VERY convenient in downloading updates and migrating the whole to other PCs. As some Internet speeds in certain countries are EXTREMELY SLOWWW. (Mine's 2Mbps).

So DE, would you,possibly optimize Warframe's size even though video game sizes today are quite large?

If you actually checked you'd see that warframe is actually a whopping... 4267MB, which is about 4gbs.

So it's only doubled.

Umm...no, I don't think so. It's 7.07GB in the middle of U14.

Warframe is almost exactly 7GB with an entirely clean install. The game is optimized. There is a lot more content than there used to be, and the file size is actually extremely small in comparison to similar(lol?) games.

On steam client it says 4.88GB, actual folder size is at 6.25.

I don't see why it would differ from the normal non-steam version.

 

You should try defragging your client through the launcher.

Lol, I wasn't actually asking for Tenno help. Just discussing about game sizes, that's all.
