All Bosses Should Be Arena Fights, Its More Classic & Epic!

Okay, I have played all the bosses of warframe, and by far the best one is Lephantis. It is simple why it is the best. Its classic! In classic game design all boss fight are arena based. In arena based fights, you are separated closed into a confined area. Then a really big guy that is the boss of that stage come out. This boss is a physical representation of all that you have seen, and fought thus far.

 

In warframe this classic element is missing which cause boss fights to feel extremely lackluster. The bosses feel like the same enemies but with a different model and more Hp.

 

We need boss battles that separate us, and confine us to a small room. No one should be able to leave this room or enter this room once the fight begin.

Now there should be a second type of boss battles, I am calling soft boss battles.

A soft boss battle is when a boss appears for a brief moment and test your skills but you have not seen the last of them.

This would be like the Stalker appearing and Vor appearing in T4. We should have two types of boss fights, but the area should be the ultimate boss battle. For example the boss of mars should be able to spawn into your mission at anytime, and give you a soft boss battle, but will save their true power for a arena classic one on one boss battle.

I dunno. It works for some of them, but I one of the reasons Hyena Pack is my favorite boss is because it's in a regular tile. It gives it a better sense of in-world-ness, like you're actually fighting them in a place and not a special arena built for a video game boss. Boss battles should work with the environment, not have the environment work with them.

 

On the flip side, some bosses like sargas ruk could benefit from an arena, and some already have one.

On the flip side, some bosses like sargas ruk could benefit from an arena, and some already have one.

The Hyena pack is one of the  best looking and most challenging bosses on this game, but the biggest problem is they do not close you into the room. You should be locked into the room with them.

 

And Most of all, the Bosses on this game are missing one crucial element. They have no special music!

Why does being closed into the room matter? You have to kill them to complete the mission, and the damn things will chase you across the whole level if you try and run.

The problem with the bosses is just how the game is played. You can't make unique bosses when you can deal massive amount of damage or resist all hits. Among other stuff.

 

If one where to give him a lot of skills it'd be hard to balance them. The Jackal has some missile attacks that seems to take down anyone it hits so one wonder how powerful that is.

The bosses in this game needs a simple balancing. Simply take down some of the damage it deals and increase its hp. Lephantis was good after update 14, but then it was nerfed. If you look at the boss videos I posted you would see the bosses in those games are not able to 1 hit the player, and the player is not able to one hit the boss. But sometimes it is okay for a boss to one hit a player. Like at the end of every sonic game you have to defeat doctor eggman with no rings,no health, so the boss can 1 hit you.

 

Oh yeah, a lot of the bosses in this game are just holder bosses. All the bosses will get reworks.
