Basic crit build with Shred and no HCal. Shred allows multitarget (esp of lessers) and losing HCal means I can easily make headshots, for that sweet avg of 275% damage. More importantly, a Critical headshot will deal 22x base damage, which is often enough to one shot HGunners, depending on the level range.

 

As you get to higher levels and take more shots to kill, the Corrosive procs every ~2-3 trigger pulls helps immensely with DPS, and Shred's RoF increase starts to become more relevant.

 

The Mal Force mod can be swapped for Cryo Rounds for a better rounded weapon or for Hammer Shot for 'spiker' DPS.

 

Edit: If you can't be bothered to aim for headshots and want to use it as a battle rifle rather than a marksman rifle, I would go with something like this: http://goo.gl/JYCNk0 or http://goo.gl/rM98fd, depending on how you feel about crit-building.
