So I Just Came Back And My Kubrow Is Missing

As per title, I played when the Kubrows were first released. Being someone with limited time, I went ahead and paid for a Kubrow starter pack. I let him mature for a couple days and unlocked the collar quest. But, I didn't have time to finish the collar quest, and stopped playing again. Fast-forward to present day, and the new update is out. I go back to play the new event, look around my ship, and my Kubrow is nowhere to be found. He's not in the incubator, he's not int he stasis chamber. The collar quest is gone and replaced with a "find Kubrow egg" mission.

 

So my question is: did my Kubrow run away, die, or what? I wouldn't be so upset if I hadn't spent 65 plat on him only for him to disappear.

Yeah, if at all possible if you think you may not be able to be on for a while it is probably always best to place them in stasis even though the recovery time is annoying.
