If course, this defeats the purpose of the word filter and is essentially a censor bypass. Not only that, it seems that moderators sometimes edit the post to remove it because it is a censor bypass. The auto-censor should be altered so as to comply with its intended purpose in this case. A minor issue, but maybe it will be fixed.
