Honestly, this was just born because I keep seeing these topics pop up in the forum month after month, and I thought "this sure seems like the Song that Never Ends". One thing led to another. I'm not saying anything that I haven't seen said several times already by other people, and I think the exaggeration is obvious. I certainly don't think that the community is made exclusively of "elitists" and "entitled" and trolls, for example.

If you think I'm breaking a forum rule please do quote it; if people in general really find my sense of humour that vitriolic then I'll just take it down, or else a mod will.
