Zephyr's Tornadoes Spontaneously Combust

Infested volatile runners turn Zephyr's tornadoes explosive when they explode. This becomes a nuisance as I can't change it to a more affective element, blast being only of medium effectiveness against ancients and average effectiveness against every other infested.

Other infested (such as osprey) and factions don't appear to effect the tornadoes. Though I haven't exactly been able to get an enemy bombard, napalm, or hellion to hit a tornadoe.

 

Edit explanation: My weapons don't have any element damage on them. Found out it was the volatile runners causing this by watching carefully, when a volatile runner would explode the tornadoe would change. Then the death animations would change to the disintegration animation from being hit by an explosive element.
