Arovie
is it recommended? will the proc damage multiple with the critical? with 3 dual stats mod on the weapon i get 46.4% status corrosive + cold
Renegade343
The most efficient way would be modding for critical chance and damage. Then again, one could also afford to mod for both critical chance, critical damage, and status chance (given that it has a 'just passed' status chance), for lots of damage (then utility once damage starts to fall off). Arovie
i have forma my soma p twice, and i notice it does about the same damage with max element damage. im considering making it a status+critical because my friend told me Soma P damage would fall off in late game. Arovie
i guess ill just try it out right now with Critical + Status in T4 survival. i want to see how far can it go.
DeMeritus
Status chance is pretty low on this weapon, you're better off doing a critical chance + critical damage + base/physical damage boosting build. Put short: Do a crit and raw damage build. Edited December 25, 2014 by DeMeritus
Azawarau
Considering its a physical procing weapon i wouldnt recommend it unless you were facing grineer Though it could turn out well Ill have a look see and give a note
Arovie
im going to keep it status+critical. the status damage is multiply with the critical and it helps in the late game. can anyone else confirm this? i might be wrong. For Void, the status effects will make quite a small difference (especially the old Corrosive + Cold combo, for stripping armour and for a bit of CC, once Shred is placed on the weapon). Arovie
Well i still go for Corrosive + Cold because in late game there are more Heavy Gunners than Bombards and cold is good against bombard too. If i'm not mistaken Heavy Gunner has more HP than Bombards. just correct me if i'm wrong. The new content really makes the game play a lot different and i enjoy it a lot. I personally use Cold because I would like to keep some enemies slowed down so I could deal with other things for a small bit (despite the lower damage output, but then again, Cold has a +25% damage bonus to Alloy Armour, so all these Corrupted Lancers and Bombards can shiver in fear, along with the Corrosive status effects that their armour seems to hate). Well you mention the Corrosive + Cold is old combination. Should i go with radiation + heat? is it effective against Heavy Gunner?
Renegade343
Well you mention the Corrosive + Cold is old combination. Should i go with radiation + heat? is it effective against Heavy Gunner? You cannot do Radiation + Heat on a weapon without any innate elemental damage, as far as I am aware. But as for effectiveness against Heavy Gunners, no. Corrosive is your best bet for them (although I do hear that some players run Radiation + Toxin for Void runs, but that is a little bit ill-advised, as the Corrupted Ancients will have high health, and is resistant against both Radiation and Toxin). Arovie
Sorry i meant Radiation + Toxic. Well i have that in mind too. Yea i guess we could say Corrosive is the best for overall void build.
Renegade343
Sorry i meant Radiation + Toxic. Well i have that in mind too. Yea i guess we could say Corrosive is the best for overall void build. Now, a quick lesson for you with regards to modding for the Void: Corrosive + Cold: Well-balanced build (will deal additional damage to every enemy there is, along with the slow status effect, but can fall a bit short at higher levels, or with weapons that are a bit unspecialised in either damage or status effects). Corrosive + Heat: High damage build (will deal quite a lot more additional damage to Grineer and the Ancients, but would suffer a small bit against shielded enemies). Radiation + Toxin: Anti Corrupted Heavy build (Nullifiers, Bombards, Heavy Gunners), as well as shielded enemies, but would suffer a small bit against shields (and Corrupted Ancients). So, I tend to go for the first option, for balance.

Arovie
Well i gave it a shot in T4 survival. all i can its better to have the Status + critical than pure damage + Critical. The pure damage would start to fall off in late game and reduce the critical damage in late game. I think making it Status + critical is good to compete with boltor P pure damage. Tymerc
Here's my build. Does pretty amazingly at just about everything. There's also this link if you want to see just how much damage it is doing: http://warframe-builder.com/Primary_Weapons/Builder/Soma_prime/t_30_22203220_132-6-5-134-5-5-137-1-10-140-0-5-150-2-10-153-7-3-159-3-5-361-4-5_140-5-137-7-150-8-159-9-361-6-134-6-132-8-153-9/en/2-0-65/0 Edited December 25, 2014 by Tymerc
