Terumitsu
To be honest, I am unsure if this belongs here or in a more specialized category given that it's a mixed bag but I expect a mod will have the capacity to judge better than I in this case. To get to the meat of this idea, let's start with a few widely accepted sentiments: People detest Grineer Napalms People dislike Grineer Bombards People rage over Mutalisk Moas (and that tar! Soo muuuch tar! It's like an anti-smoking 'this is what your lungs will be' advertisement! And the bees! Not The Bees!) People loathe Corpus Nullifiers. Now, what these all have in common are that they are specialized units for each army's roster and, one would think, they must have special facilities or training or gear or spawning pools that generate them, right? What I propose is that we add or change a few missions around the star-chart into specialist Exterminate and Sabotage missions that consist of either primarily or at the least a larger quantity than normal of these enemy types BUT completing these missions will Lower their global spawn rate across all other missions in the starchart/void. Basically, we are literally going after the supply chain that allows specialist enemies to exist and by doing so, inhibiting their ability to be equipped/trained/spawned by said factions. It would be great if we could do this for ALL specialist and maybe even Eximus enemies from the Corpus Sniper to the Grineer Ballista to the Sanguine Ancient and so on so as to give the world a more 'organic' feel were we are having an effect of what our foes can do. The way I think this would work is that each run of one of these specialist missions would be like a small % off of the current spawn rates of a given specialist foe. Maybe base it off of however many runs it takes to take over a node or eradicate the infestation during an invasion where 100% is current spawn rates and 0% is... Well, exactly what you'd expect. Each day when Rep and Rewards reset, these spawn rates would 'regenerate' a certain percentage (maybe 20-25%) back up to indicate either repairs taking place or a new batch of stock being made or what have you so that it's a constant struggle to keep these foes from rearing their ugly faces against our fellow Tenno operatives in the field. Plus, it might give a bit more importance to having access to more planets/nodes in the star chart as these missions should likely be spread around the place. In any case, I think it would be at the least something interesting to take part in as it would grant that feeling that our choices and what missions we run matter and change the world we play in. BaronVonMurderkill
Well, it's a good idea, but problem is people. Not sure how it will work. It will be hard to balance. But i really like idea that players activity will affect gameplay.
Bipp
We had an event for this a while ago where you go to a corpus level and it's utterly packed with eximus crewmen. Got a little reward at the end of it. Nothing more, nothing less. While this certainly is a very interesting idea, I actually like Eximus units (dat exp) and honestly wouldn't want to see their spawn chances decrease. Although, this could be abused in the sense that players purposefully let the enemy train more eximus units so that they show up more often for dat exp. It could possibly go like this: -Every now and again, each faction sets up a training facility on a planet -This training facility affects the spawn chance of eximus units on said planet -Disrupting them lowers eximus spawn chances whereas leaving them to it increases it Idk. Terumitsu
Well, perhaps we could just make it specialists and not both specialists and eximus units as, thinking about it more, a mission chock full of eximus units could be abused... Though the idea of making a sort of alert based system for eximus units while using the 'standard' system I've presented might be an interesting mix between the two.
