Distance Fallen Should Increase Melee Jump Damage/radius

Now, this may be a bit more complex to implement than say... I dunno... having melee mods modify it, but it would be an intuitive system to have the melee weapon's jump attack deal more damage with more distance fallen. Let's say for instance I'm playing as an Excalibur, so I go to use super jump. Super jump brings me up to a fairly high height. One would naturally assume that I'd either hurt my hands doing a crazy jump attack, (or by video game logic) somehow deal much more damage.

 

This factors into utilizing wall-running too. Running up a wall to gain height (greater height than your average jump) could potentially yield even more AOE damage (using the same video game logic mentioned before), thus rewarding more complex maneuvers and thought.

 

Whaddya guys think?
