Voice Options In Wf

Question

Yesterday, I was playing with my new clan mate using the Party voice option on XB1. I was the host, and it appeared that he would drop at least once a mission, generally at extraction. I'm not interested in discussing it as a bug. I am curious what everyone else uses - how do you prefer to do voice while playing Warframe?

Obviously, I am most interested in XB1 options, but more info in the in-game chat is welcome. I know of at least three for my platform - In-game, Party and Skype. Anyone have a lot of experience with each? Any recommendations as to what works the best?

I don't know. Game chat seems fine, it just seems like very few players even realize it exists.

ingame voice chat is fine if you grew up in the 1940's with the original Walkie-Talkie.

It's almost unintelligable in almost every game I've heard someone use it.

That, plus the regular noise from the game (ability/weapon/enemy noise), makes it really hard to understand what the person is saying.

I was hoping it was better with headsets and with people you know. The only time I used it was on accident, and immediately turned it off because I mostly PUG. I'm guessing you are still on PC, so it isn't the "turn off the kinect mic, please!" issue.

Anyone on XB1 tried Skype yet?

The only times it's unintelligible are when people have their mics mis-configured, and in that case, no matter what VOIP you use, it's garbled nonsense.
