Posting Gifs And Pics

Hello everybody.

 

I have a tendance to post to the latest new topics that arrive. :P

But sometimes I try to use GIFs and pics so I use the code

[ img ] (link here) [/ img ] (no spaces)

but whenever I try to do it, it says "You are not allowed to use that image extension on this community".

Can someone help me with this?

I get that error when I try to post .bmp images. If you upload with an incorrect link, check again.

You need a direct link, which usually has the image's extension in the end.

Oh, so how do you get the links like that?

By default, JPG, JPEG, PNG and GIF are allowed. The URL must end in the extension (not pic/23291d923kf92/ for example)

It would also be nice to have those standard forum tools available instead of the very minimalistic ones we have right now. I know the forum supports it, because I see other people using more advanced postings.

BBCode is supported throughout most forums.

Just Google it up and you'll see most codes.

Don't use spaces between the brackets and IMG. Don't use text formatting on the BBcodes.

I specifically said '(no spaces)'.

here is a tip dont just copy the direct link for the GIF or photo just copy image location and it should work fine

 

EDIT: Right Click and copy image location

Didn't see it, sorry.

But the stuff about formatting stands. I've only ever got that error about image format when i accidentaly formatted the BBCode, or the image link within.

You are getting the error because there is a space/character behind the extension! Just double check for characters after the .gif :)
