michaelgt
Hi, I'd like to know how to fix my PhysX ticker being greyed out. I've been searching on how to fix this but found nothing. The forums were too outdated and even if they were, I still tried. I've tried setting my PhysX processor to the GPU/CPU/both, tried downloading the legacy driver for PhysX, tried copying the physX dlls to the system, reinstalling drivers, getting the latest drivers. Reinstalling the game, playing at DX10 or DX11. my windows 7 is up to date. running on 32-bit windows 7 os i3-3220 4GB RAM EVGA GTX 960 SSCI've been trying to find a solution for months and ended up with zero results. Now I really need to ask. XDEDIT: If it's the 32-bit well, whoopdidoo. my life sucks. LOL Edited April 28, 2015 by michaelgt
Himmelberg
question: do you have/use GeForce experience?I had problems with physx and other nvidia features before. They ranged anywhere from oddly acting particles to crashes, sometimes games wouldn't even start to begin with, removing GeForce experience and doing a clean driver install without it solved literally everything. michaelgt
I did. Without geforce experience as well. I also tried forcing it Geforce Experience(the optimize settings). I still get nothing
Himmelberg
have you been able to run physx before all this happened? If so, think what could've caused it, did you do something with your GPU, drivers or in-game settings Edited April 28, 2015 by double0gamer
michaelgt
My Borderlands 2 and pre-sequel detect my PhysX. Only Warframe doesn't. this started when I did a clean format of my system since I moved it to an SSD.
Himmelberg
how long since you've moved everything to an SSD?

taiiat
the last i knew, PhysX in Warframe for some reason only works in the 64-bit distro. it certainly wasn't always that way, but that was the case the last time(s) i've seen investigations for PhysX. i don't remember if DirectX versions was involved... but i might perhaps recall it also only working in DirectX 9 mode... but maybe that was something else, and DirectX 10 and 11 were fine. Edit: ofcourse, it's never been consistent, and some users have said it works on this or that setting and all is well, others can't get it to work at all, Et Cetera. Himmelberg
and how long since you've last played warframe with physx on? I think I may have found the issue take a look at these: (these are pretty old though)https://forums.warframe.com/index.php?/topic/354509-update-155-and-still-no-physx-for-32-bit/ https://forums.warframe.com/index.php?/topic/348136-cant-enable-physx/ https://steamcommunity.com/app/230410/discussions/2/611696927927079303/ I've also tried this out myself, switched to 32 bit mode and physx option is no longer available, switch back to 64, I can enable it once more Edited April 28, 2015 by double0gamer
michaelgt
I've been playing Warframe with PhysX before I reformatted my PC and placed the system on the SSD.
Himmelberg
Can't really help in any other way, I haven't used a 32 bit system in literally years. From what I've read, you could run physx in warframe on 32 bit before but after some patch it got disabled, I guess you could just wait and hope for DE to switch it back the way it was.. other than that, nothing else I can say. try and break the game in half maybe... ? force enable it or something, dunno, I have no ideas... michaelgt
Dang. I knew I was dead in the water. XD Well, I guess I have to wait for myself to purchase Windows 8.1 64 bit, I guess. The preset physx isn't really that awesome. XDThanks for the answers then. :)
Himmelberg
honestly, current physx effects don't look that good... they were much better about 2 years back, you're not missing out on much. Except I guess channeling looks kind of nice... but that's about it
michaelgt
Huh.. Is that so...? No more gazillion sparkly bits, huh? I kinda liked those...
Himmelberg
yeah, they're all gone, all you get now is a pile some dark and desaturated confetti...
RHEDEN
no point in fixing It, DE has decided to ignore PhysX. They have destroyed the PhysX no warframe or weapons contain PhysX anymore I wish they would bring back the old PhysX particles
DeeGeeFi
Note that you don't need to buy Win 8.1 for 64bit. The same license code you have for your Windows 7 should also work for 64 bit version of Win7. You only need to download the 64-bit cd image from Microsoft (completely legally).
