Teamwork - Survival & Mobile Defence 2.0

I do raids for the whole presence of teamwork and people having roles. Now, this isn't a raid threat so don't back off now. This is a better way to compensate from timed missions. Teamwork is something to be appreciated and it's something SOME may have missed out on. 

 

This game really doesn't have this cap, and it's not like I'm forcing anyone to do anything, Find a buddy and teamup. The ONLY reason I can see this failing is because 1 person doesn't know what they are doing OR Host migration and it's only 2 people.

This is re-introducing and alerting old missions into more INTERESTING missions.

1. Start, players take the keys the lotus delivered and go to the place given.

2.Excalibur wants to switch due to his lack of tankyness in the later, and Frost is pretty slow. So they are switching for a more efficient transition. Little does Frost know that Excalibur is in dire trouble.

3. They are done and they head to extraction coming from different areas.

 

MODE :Survival. 2+

So at first let's start with Survival. (This idea might be heard before)

There is X amount of Tenno Operative(cap of 2)
There is also an X amount of Distraction team (cap of 3)

 

BEFORE and AFTER starting the mission, The player will start in the starting area with the team. 2 keys of each kind.
1 of spy and 1 of survival(named will be come out later due to lore). Then once they pick up the key it becomes their auras so they can go through the door. They can take off this key by dropping it back to where it was(like in the tutorial) allowing flexibility between organization.

 

Rules & Mechanics 

 

Failing is just how normal survival is, enemy has cut off air supply as the lone tenno(s) with air along as themselves. The  fails, so the there would be no air = head to extraction. IF the lone tenno fails(Get detected) there will no be life support for 5 whole minutes(cutting off lotus). Which means, try to stack the LS and keep each-other alive.  If not, then head to the door and head to extraction.

 

How do you succeed? : I personally do not know how many rooms and how many puzzles one can make with the RNG and I just hope it can be done unlimited to keep the fun active JUST like we have now. But, if there were to be a cap it should be around 6 and scale it with ranks. (10 minutes, 1 reward). So 60 minutes, 6 rewards. So instead of relying on timers, it's more about relying on TEAMWORK and how far can it be done.

 

Switching : But, wait Renkai if it's so much about teamwork why is there only 1 or 2 tenno operative, what if  he dies and he cannot revive. THINK no further, Any time the player is going to activate life support, the player is allowed another trigger of allowing to "switch" a target with one of the desired player. Per say, the target has been given a lot of slash procs and now has low hp, and u have no trinity or items. And the other Nova is trying to keep the team alive but, has no energy. You can sacrifice a life support to switch with an ally of the other squad. Any target that switches, Will be switched with the other mate that was requested. That player MUST be standing on the pad necessary for switching to be done.(discussed in setting). The player that has be called for switching will get a prompt that will not interrupt the games sequence(as it will be annoying). To step on the pad and switch with that desired player.

 

Any time a player switches they will also trade each others key.

 

Setting 

Both players start off from the beginning. (think of how you start with vaults). However this time there are 2 locations to choose from(such as the hacking panel). There are keys in the middle of the room to carry to differentiate which team is the Distraction and which is the Raid, if it's the wrong door the barrier will simply not allow them to go through)(powers cannot be used in the first and second location of maps)<- This is to avoid Nova teleports, loki switches and so on+lazy coding.

 

The other thing is that the distraction squad will become the survival squad and will be thrown into the one rooms we know of and love.(kill everything and live) However the "lone tenno operatives"(raid team) will be sent into the other room. Which will have like raid position. It is set into panels of such.(ofc depending on scaling)

 

This is how it would look like for the RAID team

Solo = works just like spy missions, 1 or 2 tennos can enter the same place(more time consuming but is safer).

Duo = Both tenno operatives MUST work together to advance through this to get the chest.

(of course Duo's will be disabled if there is only 2 people, and u can just skip to the next one)

- = sections of doors before going to the next location

 

IN this room, there weill be an X amount of doors protected by X faction. Once this room is SAFE. You will both be given different directions from the Lotus. And start the mission on getting loot.

 

Extraction, Both players will meet as extraction has both doors that meet in the end. After leaving the area you cannot get in again. Only if the players switch.

Mobile 2 Defence

MODE : Mobile Defence

BEFORE AND AFTER : starting the mission will begin with the player sneaking from the top of the objective(Liste drops you)(Train/Ship). In the starting area the player(s) must sneak into the train which is when the timer starts. In the mobile Defence you must get deliver the datamass given, without harming the ships mechanism to obtain all the data. Player(s) can rush or sneak through the objective, however these ships are specifically made to hold large crates and are guarded by nearby ships. Like the lotus says the enemy does not care wether they loose the information as long as no one else gets it  IT IS FINE. Once the information is gotten, you must evacuate the ship before it is fully destroyed.

 

Rules & Mechanics

 

MD progression : Fairly simple, you get the data mass and rush to the point(shorter than usual). However, instead of waiting for the lotus to hack. You are given instructions as to which and where the important things are. First, you advance towards the first door onto the ship and insert the data-mass. AS the data-mas is inside you are into a progress of hacking the advancing doors to go any further(creating a bypass). After the key is programmed you are into the next step. Second, thing that you must do is place the data-mass inside the the machine(which is normally what we do). This will open the crate doors and [X] Amount of Tenno(s) take what they can and go. One this is done, it will start part Three. Third, part is tricky you will sound the alarms as soon as the key is taken way as it got taken and received as "done". The other ships who guard it will start shooting at the main ship which will show the HP's main health.

 

The package : You must rush Tenno, and rush like never before and make it through extraction. Anytime you are damaged in this state will also damage the package, so you can't get hurt while during this. The package will have twice our shields, same armor and half of your hp(with low hp regen). 

 

Alerting : If you are seen, during this progress the enemies will discovering you earlier. And you are not able to turn off the alarm, however. Other tennos can take control of the ship and raise the ship's shield and work on it's efficiency. To maintain the ship and make barriers to make it last longer and prolong the mission. Think wise whenever you want to be an alerting tenno or a tenno who can sneak.

 

Rewards will be given on how many things have been taken from that ship as you where the ones who retrieved it.

Not sure how a train would work. Although, I can see a few possibilites with both types.

Thanks, I just really want to see DE kick it up a notch when it comes down to other modes. Spy was first then they announced sabotage...

Thanks, I just added MOBILE Defence. I don't really see any teamwork done in most of these modes anyways. the only difference in modes is just what you do(which is not bad). But, it just needs to be understood that there needs to be depth.

imho DE understood the limitations of actual MD/Defs and obviously survival: the ultimate camp game.

 

Excavations was a good step forward and I'm sure they'll keep providing good modes, but yes refining existing ones should be also a priority!
