I'm Fed Up With Biased Blog Articles

As many of you know, for the past years, these news or blog websites or have been writing the most controversional topics, usually by their own hirees. The only reason is to obviously cash out by getting as many clicks as possible, but it's getting to the point where it's just ridiculous.

I don't honestly care much for these articles. I stopped caring a long ago. One of the reasons being specifically the issue mentioned in this topic. I still have a good read, once or twice, if it interests me, but if I see a suspicious looking title, I don't even dare to check it out. It's not worth my time and patience.

Anyway, just a while ago, one of my friends posted a link to a blog post talking about some guys who developed malware that can be remotely installed on Macs, and it remains even after a reformat. This take away one of the few Mac advantages it has over PCs.

Of course, as naive as I was, I looked up reasons as to why Macs were superior, so to speak. I came across this article that delineates ten reasons as to why Macs are better than PCs. All of those reasons can be easily countered with actual facts that would drive the post itself to the ground, if not below. The funny thing, however, it's that it is not the only post I came across talking about how Macs are superior.

Let's take a look at that website, shall we: It sells nothing but Apple products; It's by an Apple specialist; It's has an advert right on the top of the page: "Call the Mac experts!" This information tells you right away how much of a joke it really is. It's nothing but biased opinions, and the problem is, it's not the only one to do so. Many article writers, if you look them up, check their past history, you'll learn a lot from them, and find out they just want quick money. That's it.

Pretty much any form of media is filled with hilarity. It's idiotic, to say the least. It has always been, unfortunately. Either way, I like to rant about nonsensical matters, regardless of how long it has been going for, as in this specific case. I don't what I would have expected, honestly. Surely nothing good.

What are your thoughts on the evolution of the media? Will it always be this shady, to sway the public opinion and make some dough out of it?

What else do you expect?

Guy gets a job: "Write why Macs are better"

So he makes sure to make it look as "good" as possible, so he doesn't get fired.

The #1 rule is: Do not blindly believe what you read.

It's the internet. It's hard to believe anything you read, though I'm sure writers have free-range to talk about relatable topics, and make them controversial.

Well you know the old saying "always take it with a grain of salt." Most articles on the internet are biased garbage, but so the majority of media in general. Everyone has their own agenda when they are writing an article for the internet or a magazine or whatever. Rarely do they produce actual facts to back up their claims. My advice to you is to ask people you know that have macs. Ask them what they like about it, and what they find annoying and go from there.

That gave me a good giggle.

was going to make it much more akin to the hipster stereotype, but I decided that might have been a little too cancerous and went with a more hippy-like stereotype instead. Besides, that's the least i could do. That article gave me a good laugh.

My favorite part was when the writer mentions that the 2) comes in the next paragraph in Word and Entourage, and that it is a problem.

But, but, life is hard enough as it is! More options just complicate everything. I mean, think of the mass chaos that would arise if people had to think... wait no, don't think about it. That's dangerous...

I always look at all possible sides when reading the news.

For example the refugee controversy in Australia at the moment.

Some media outlets publish how we should take in more/all refugees and that's it.

On the other side there are some hard right wing "patriots" who say we shouldn't or at all take in refugees.

Then there is people with half a brain. These people know that we can't just take in a lot of refugees but we can't just let them all rot. If we do take more in the proper care needs to be provided and steps needed to be taken to ensure security.

The list could go on until I reach the status of modern Hitler. The point is don't just take what media gives you. They usually publish one side and stick with it believing in it's righteousness. The only time I see another side of a story on media is when a T.V host voices their own opinion in an interview or panel. I've seen articles where the author does give their opinion but it usually just blocks out some information from the opposing side.
