The white slot is Shattering Impact. The mod that rekt the armor of ennemies if you do IMPACT damage.

I'm pretty sure that Shattering Impact's armor removal doesn't depend on how much Impact damage the melee weapon does. Instead, it depends on whether the melee weapon does any Impact damage at all.

 

I was testing it in simulacrum on some lvl 95 Manic Bombards. My Dakra Prime and Bo Prime were equally good at reducing the Manic Bombard's armor while my Dual Ichor did not remove any armor at all.

 

 

 

tl;dr Use a fast melee weapon with at least one Impact damage if you want to use Shattering Impact to remove armor.

tl;dr#2 Use Corrosive instead on slow/zero Impact melee weapons if you want to remove armor.
