Argoms
Use snipetron. It has a polarity (vulkar doesn't) slot, and does AP damage.

w00tm0ng3r
Snipetron all the way. Between the polarity slot and armor piercing it's just better.
ThePresident777
The polarity slot lets you put in higher level mods which means you get back the differance in damage between the two. Then, the AP takes the damage past what vulkar does. And, it's an heirloom.
Haif
Forma usage will let you close, and eventually nullify the polarity gap between the 2 weapons, and I can tell you from personal experience that there is no noticeable difference in fire rate between the Snipetron and the Vulkar. Honestly, the only real difference between the 2 weapons is that the Vulkar has slightly higher base damage per shot while the Snipetron has innate armor piercing. All other stats are the same. The innate armor pierce of the Snipetron will eventually cause it to outscale the Vulkar due to enemy armor, so in terms of relative weapon power the Snipetron is the superior gun. Then again, the Vulkar sounds sexy as hell when its fired, and looks badass to boot, so that makes it much harder to choose..... Innate armor pierce weapons are better early levels because you have no mods. Once mods slapped on the elemental portions of the damage will not be armor pierce. Although the gap will never really close, it does not travel in the direction you are describing. The gap becomes closer as mods are put into play. With higher base damage the new sniper rifle will have a higher base for the elemental portions of the mods and a higher value for the armor pen mod. Only the base damage portion of the vulkar will be inferior. Edited May 25, 2013 by ClaymoreNo47
MonsieurBacon
Go with Snipetron. It's exclusive too and will never be available in the game again. Edited May 25, 2013 by FAKTUM
Haif
Don't listen to this ^ guy, go with both! It's what I did! Snipetron for your try-hard moments, and Vulkar for the sheer badassery that it brings to the table! Edited May 25, 2013 by Haif
