Question

I am an old PC player, because my pc was running slow I decided to quit warframe for a while till i got a ps4 thinking I would just convert my account, unnaware that the conversion was limited time. As soon as I got my ps4 the first game I downloaded was warframe but soon found out that I couldnt transfer my account. So here is my question, Since the console launch has there been a way to convert ones account? or am I S#&$ outa luck?

I think you answered your own question. It was for a limited time and there is no news of it happening again.

Edit: I do hope they do it again sometime soon and send an email to everyone. I have seen a lot of threads asking if there is still a way to convert.

Only works if the versions are identical and the console devs have been pretty damn lazy recently. I mean there was only a pretty short delay between the last patch and upcomming U17 but we had to wait like 2 months! for evry patch before that.

DE might give us the option once again at some point but don't get your hopes up.

...just starting a new account might be the better option. You're a veteran player so you should be familiar with trading and such, getting platinum should therefore be no problem. Especially since consoles seem to have higher prices.

No need to slag the devs, if anything, it's the console creators (sony/microsoft) who determine how long it takes, as they stubbornly test every single build.

This to, is entirely up to the Coporate Console Creators.

Weekly patches with a weekly delay shouldn't be a problem.

It all comes down to the devs that rather >choose to create big packages instead of weekly content.

I guess the big problem is that it might take more than a week to format the content for consoles. Plus the fact the updating scheme makes hotfixesimpossible.

What about weekly fixes like on pc instead of hotfixes? Parallel work instead of formating? It's not like thers people in there that make new content just on inspiration alone... thers plans for this kind of stuff. A design/creative team that decides on designs and stats and programmers that code it. Parallel coding is definitly no problem if you actually invest in your team.

Meaning that the company eather misses programmers or that they don't wanna pay the consoles for checking/releasing the patches on a regular base.

I personally kinda hope that the first option applies. Beein stingy on a multiplatform game, that sells virtual money and expensive packages on a regular base, pretty much worldwide would just be SAD.

PC gets updates first, then tests them, and being able to update immediately, a hotfix can be pushed. that's part of the reason updates are delayed on consoles, they can't be given content as soon as it is made, because hot fixing it would be imposible.

Also, to chime in, there is more rigorous standards for consoles when they patch compared to PC. PC's are not all the same standard hardware you have God tier PC's to potatoes but but Sony and Microsoft look over the code a lot before they release it. Again I agree PC gets new content because we bug test and beta test for the company and Xbone and PS4 get the polished content without major problems glitches in walls, enemies being OP weapons being too OP and content being completely broken etc. Again, every time a hotfix goes through it's like they rewrote the whole game and the new game will need to undergo testing.

I am a PC Warframe player, but once I get an Xbox 1, I wanted to connect accounts so that I wouldn't have to deal with many hours of farming, and running from planet to planet in an attempt to get my Valkyr warframe, dual kamas, and get marked for death by the stalker so I could get Dread. If only there was a permanent way to get my accounts synced, so me and my friends are not wasting hours farming, then waste even more hours with crafting.

It's not much, but if Sony was adamantly opposing the possibility of a second migration, I don't think Steve would so casually answer 'yes' to this -- which leads me to believe this is not the case. All that we can do is be patient and see if they ever actually do it.
