Switching Speakers While Game Is Up.

Probably not a lot of people who have an issue with this, but Warframe is one of the few games that, when I plug out my headphones to use the speakers instead, the sound completely disappears until I restart. I have so many other games that manage to switch audio between speakers automatically, but Warframe is one of very few that don't.

Thing is, I have friends that I communicate with on Teamspeak, and to do that I need to use my headset, so if I've already started the game with the normal speakers I have to quit the game or have the audio come from the speakers, which will be completely muffled for me and make my friends hear every sound I make in Warframe.

I'm not really sure how this works or how hard it would be to fix this, but depending on that, I'd very much like it to.

I have the same issue, i oftentimes use voice calls on skype to communicate with friends as we play, so i am too forced to restart the game in order to hear anything in my headset.

 

Which is really strange because in the sound settings, there is a setting to choose audio device, but it doesn't seem to do anything.

Yep, this is an issue we are aware of and will be fixing at some point in the future :)

This is an age old problem that had all the way back to update 10, but was too lazy to report. Glad to see it's acknowledged !
