Senoinya
Sometimes I make a mistake and post a topic under the wrong category without intending to. Sometimes I make a topic that just boils down into a flamewar rather than actually being anything good. Sometimes I make a topic that wasn't as relevant as I thought it was. Sometimes I make a topic without knowing there's another just like it. In any of these cases, I fail to see why a moderator should have to fix my mistakes when I could just delete said topic. Steam forums allow this and it works just fine - the topic is still logged for moderators to see so they can review it if necessary, so it's not like it lets you get around ToS by posting something and then deleting it before mods can see it. If I made the topic, I should be able to delete it.

Annoying_killah
They want you to be ashamed of the topic you have made, and beg for forgiveness. Seriously tho why can't we delete our own topics? : /
MagPrime
I can understand not letting us delete our own topics, but why not give us the power to suspend a topic pending review/lock/move/merge? Suspending the topic would stop anyone from posting and effectively hide the topic in question until a mod has time to review it and make the requested changes.
