Destroying Labs = Loss Of Research?

So I want to move two of my labs to a different node, I wanted to know if I destroyed the lab would I lose my research. If I build a duplicate lab before destroying the one I no longer want will this avoid loss?

research is tied to your clan. if you destroy the lab you still have all the research

No. It will still be there when you rebuild it.
