Has Affinity Gain Been Affected?

Hi. I was just wondering if Affinity gain has been affected in any way. I used to gain pretty even Affinity on my weapons throughout, but recently, trying to level my Boltor has been a pain. I got 12k on my melee weapon and only 1.2k on the Boltor. Could anyone explain this to me?

Were you running solo? In order to get xp for a weapon when solo you actually need to use it.

Your team needs to kill most of the enemies or you gotta kill most with the boltor. When you go all rambo with melee, don't expect much xp for the boltor.
