So I haven't played past the Second Dream Quest (props DE) cause of work ._. Can someone enlighten me, are we allowed to have different focus on different frames or are we stuck on choosing just one school?

you can have different focuses and freely choose which to use after unlocking them. This requires you to own and install the different lenses.

 

NOTE: you can only have one lense installed on one weapon or frame, and installing another one on the same frame or weapon destroys the old one. You can have multiple weapons or frames with different lenses

No. One tree equipped at a time from the Operator menu

So, before going off into a mission, you can choose a school to deploy with?

Yep. It's in the Esc > Operator > Focus menu. You can click any school that you unlocked and theres a teeny tiny button in the centre of the big circle which activates it as the primary tree.
