Redeemer Damage Type?

Hi there, 

 

Recently got the redeemer and I'm absolutely loving it, but I'm a little confused with the wiki and what the weapon actually does in game. Has the damage type been entirely converted to impact? and does it even proc any other status besides impact?

the main attack damage is slash, while the charge attack is blast
if it procs impact then thats just luck

Honestly, I tend to see Impact proc far more often than other effects, even on weapons with very very little impact damage.

Or maybe its just more noticeable at times, but I see the little hammer symbol pop up alot even when using high slash damage weapons, so long as there is at least a smidge of impact on it..

regular attacks performed using the blades are Slash, with the Shotgun Blast doing Blast (hence why it knocks targets down with ease). Impact often procs on many melee weapons, even those that are not impact-oriented.

 

it's actually a good thing, as the staggering effect caused by Impact makes it easier to chain combos on enemies, and prevent them from counterattacking.
