Shred + Thunderbolt = ?

So I'm using my Attica (shh. It's half as effective as my Paris Prime after a few (more) Forma) and I use Thunderbolt on it (but not with my Paris Prime) and I was thinking of adding Shred JUST for the Punch Through. If my bolt explodes, will I still get that Punch Through effect or nah?
Just looking for a simple yes or no. don't need the science behind it.

I believe so, yes. I don't think it can trigger multiple explosions per shot though (from hitting more than one enemy, for instance).

You really don't need Shred on the Attica anyway because it impales targets much like the Boltor. The bolt doesn't punch through but it knocks the target into the enemies behind for extra damage.
