Update Failed (not starting) help?

This has only happened to me once before in 2+ years of warframe and it was due to the servers being down... but how the hell do I fix this?

It just stays on "checking for updates" for a decent time and then crashes into "update failed - please try again later" after which the launcher becomes unresponsive upon clicking something.

I know it's not my internet with 200 down 20 up... I can't even connect, it makes no sense. Any ideas to get it started?

I thought I'd update the OP before going to bed so others can see it too.

Steve mentioned in the devstream that most of the issues are coming from the massive amount of players downloading the update. Basically flooding the servers. It is best to try again every so often to see if it will connect, which is what worked for me after many tries. He also mentioned that any persistent issues can most likely be solved through support, so if any of you still have issues tomorrow (or today, depending on when you read this). You may want to think about contacting support about it.

Let's just hope all issues will resolve themselves for now.

I'm still downloading (over 10%). Try connects through another server (in the launcher, select another language, for example Russian) ... Good luck againe...

The launcher/connection seems unstable since it keeps crashing. Though restarting it seems to fix it every time for me... though not long.

well, i've updated and the server was working again for me but then it dropped out.

I've got the same thing.  Hoping that I won't have to delete my cache and re-download.  XD

Yeah, I spent all morning updating now the servers are down and I cannot play... I really hope this is fixed soon!

servers are up, we just dont know why the hell some people can play Warframe without an issue, others have issues in game, and many,many people can't connect to Warframe game or website.

I downloaded the update but the game doesn't launch. 

 

I re ran the launcher and it gets stuck @ "checking for updates."

 

Oh well.. Its our fault to think that DE can deploy and update without major issues.

I thought it was something wrong in my end, so I run integrity and redownloaded around 11gb of data. Seems like DE's servers really are somewhat buggy right now.

it is, Steve mentioned it on the stream. Though he also mentioned that any persistent issues can be handled by support.

I'd wait until tomorrow before calling it persistent though, there's still lots of people downloading the update.

i have to say that I didn't expect to get the game up and running. When it finally did get past the "checking for new content" it would download a decent bit before attempting to check for new content again. This resulted in a "failed to connect to server" issue every time. Restarting the launcher worked every time. I repeated this multiple times before finally completing the download.

I hope this helps some of you, though from what I'm seeing there are many different connection issues going on. Let's hope it will all be better tomorrow.

It's about time I'd go to bed anyway...
