PS4 doesn't have some of these mods yet. I use:

2 elemental modes (electricity and toxic to get corrosive)  / serration / heavy caliber / point strike + vital sense / Shred (stops the balls from bouncing around) / finally Heat element.

IMO Shred is very useful, It adds fire rate and controls the bounce of the ball. You can fire through most objects, doors and walls. Last thing you want is to fire two balls and they bounce apart and you don't get your proc to go off.
