Codex Scanner

So, I have the Codex Scanner but I have no idea how to use it! I already equiped it in my accesories slot I think... Well, all I know is it's where it's suppossed to be. But in a mission how do you activate it and scan an enemy? I also hear you need to scan an enemy to get the Natah quest so, please help me.

you press q, select it, aim and hold fire to scan

Ok once you have it assigned to a gear slot you can press "q" by default to bring up the gear wheel and then use the mouse to equip it. Then you hold down aim to look through it or fire button to just scan stuff.

For a guide for how to do the Natah quest (and everything else) i recommend the wiki http://warframe.wikia.com/wiki/Natah

If you don't want spoilers i recommend running Uranus with the scanner and trusting the lotus to tip you when there is something strange to scan.

you click on it with your mouse.
You could craft Helos if you don't feel like scanning by hand.

By clicking on it or you could hotkey gear under keybindings.
