highlord300
Hello everyone! Right let me start by saying I love warframe and it is my favourite game at the moment. However, it is the only game I have which causes my system to crash and is getting very annoying when trying to do any long mission! So the problem. I am experiencing two types of crashes one where the screen flickers a colour blue or green then suddenly goes back to warframe after a few seconds. Th second one is when the entire PC freezes/crash, nothing responds so I have to hit the power button! From what I have read it can be one of two things! Warframe is horribly optimised and causing my gpu to draw huge amounts of power from my psu. This is from another thread. Steviie 1 PC Member 6 posts Posted 7 March · Hey Noctah, I posted this response in my thread regarding Cold Crash fixes, however I thought I'd post it here too in case you miss it! It seems your issue is your Graphics Card is pulling too much power from your PSU, and your PSU can't handle the request either to stop your System from overloading and blowing up your PC, from blowing up your sockets, or from an insufficient amount of power (Wattage), so shuts down. It's know that the latest update, which is the main factor that triggered this issue for you, asks your System for more Processing Power and Graphic Processing Power, that's why a lot of people are reporting performance issues such as FPS dips, spikes, stuttering, on Systems which could previously run the game flawlessly. It may not seem like it makes sense, because you may run games with much higher requirements that run flawlessly without any power-related issues, but that's where it comes to optimisation and how optimised a game is. I mean, take GTA V as an example. This new update is unoptimised, I'm sure we'll get proper fixes soon. Also, I had the same issue as you're having with a crappy game called "War Z" about a year or so ago, now goes by the name of "Infestation: Survivor Stories". The game is essentially the biggest pile of crap you're ever gonna come across. The requirements to run the game were pretty much a modern day work-only laptop, yet literally blew up my PSU with crazy request. The most unoptimised game I've ever played. Forced me to fork out £60 on a new PSU. Be weary for now, buddy. (Also, take Assassin's Creed: Unity as another example of poor optimisation, and compare it to a game like GTA V, a game of much bigger scale and yet looks 100x better, and runs 100x smoother The second reason could be navidia cards? I have no idea but before you ask yes I have updated all my drivers and things. my system is Asus gtx 980 Intel i5 3750k 3.60hz 8 gb of ram windows 10 Corsair Enthusiast Series TX 650W Power supply. please guys can you help me fix these crashes which happen only on warframe and no other game! I thought it was a quote from steviie :D It's well know driver bug from nVidia to cause display crashes. Try reverting the driver to some older ones. It's behind trial and error to find the correct ones. Or try with the latest hotfix they released:http://nvidia.custhelp.com/app/answers/detail/a_id/4086 The hotfix driver still has some issues with Geforce Experience <-- if you use that, disable shadowplay/instant replay. Try to check is the system crash caused by nvidia components (to narrow down the issue):http://windows.microsoft.com/en-us/windows7/how-to-use-reliability-monitor More info about the whole issue in here:https://forums.warframe.com/topic/617207-warframe-crashes-to-black-screen-forced-to-shutdown/ And here:http://wccftech.com/nvidias-latest-game-ready-driver-allegedly-killing-gpus-plagued-issues/ Also, provide your feedback directly to nvidia (nvidia staff reads the player feedback regularly in their forums) :https://forums.geforce.com/default/board/33/geforce-drivers/ The more specific you are (system specs & description), the better nvidia can do with reproducing the bug/error. highlord300
Thank you so much I will try all these! However, can you tell me why this only happens with warframe and no other game I play? I play a ton of games and warframe is the only one?

Your gaming rig should be top notch for warframe, thought the game is pretty picky with some things: I also have experienced the crashes with some driver releases - causing even bluescreens and only with Warframe. The biggest problems I've had was related to Geforce Experience and shadowplay/instant replay -- specially when combined with steam overlay and nvidia DSR and specially when swapping resolutions in-game. If I was you, I would perform a clean install of the latest nVidia drivers using the latest DDU release from Guru3D (favored by users in nVidia forums).http://www.guru3d.com/files-details/display-driver-uninstaller-download.html btw: what psu are you using?
