Steam Controller - In Menu, the left-stick click for "Action 4" freezes UI

I've encountered this bug with two separate accounts tested on two different PCs (Sony Vaio SVS151290X laptop and an ASUS N550JX). When using a Steam Controller in Warframe Menus, the default left stick click for "Action 4" repeatedly seems to freeze the UI in my experiences.

 

The best example of this is when in Arsenal. With a controller plugged in, the left stick click action should be for "Select Mode":

 

When I click the left stick in with a Steam Controller, the UI freezes entirely (see image below and note visual corruption by Loki Prime options, that remains static on screen). The game does not respond to any further controller or keyboard input. A mouse or trackpad will still move the cursor on screen, but it won't allow any interaction in-game. The game has to be closed with Alt+F4 or via Task Manager.

I'm seeing the exact same issue here too. I've tried mapping the action to a different button with no success so far.
