Though it is absolutely possible for someone to be that generous, I would not count on it. Lotus pattern is pretty decently rare and people tend to breed them to sell them. Lucky for you though you can get an egg on earth (try capture missions for quick farming) and breed your own. Assuming you have the incubator upgrade (get it from clan dojo), it takes 24 hours, if it isn't a lotus, consign it and start again.
