Alt helmets on primes?

Can I use, for example, a Saryn Chlora (spelling my be wrong. Sorry too lazy to check,ha ha) helmet on Saryn Prime? I actually like the default,  but I can't find this answer on my wiki app. I didn't like the regular Saryn helmet,  looks like cat person cosplay, and the other alt helmet looked like it was wearing an ugly church hat, ha ha.
