Crit melee or Pure damage.

Question

So which is better, and no offense but please don't reply it depends put your opinions in the post. For pure damage example the redeemer's charge shot. For crit the dual ichors with blood rush and body count. So which type do you think is better and why and could you put the weapon it is good with and, sorry for the trouble but the build too.

pressure point, body count, blood rush, berserker, organ shatter, fever strike, shocking touch, buzzkill your preference of stance

All goes well with saryns toxic lash since it gaurantees a proc and corrosive strips armor while slash damage and toxic damage health directly, got critical slash procs for 10k each

crit weapons are better than pure damage

Crit melee, with Body Count/Blood Rush, is better by a pretty wide margin, if you intend to really fight in melee.

If you only intend to swing occasionally, crit weapons are still usually better, but you'll get more burst dps out of damage mods instead of using Body Count/Blood Rush.

The main time when crit doesn't help is with stealth attacks and finishers, because a stealth strike can't do a true crit (it has its own crit). That's when you'd want high base damage.

If you're not using Covert Lethality.

It depends. The DPS of most weapons are pretty much the same with the appropriate builds. What matters is the time over which the weapon deals the most damage.

For what weapon, purpose, faction etc.? Generally, you can make crit mods work with base of 20% and above. Status chance with corrosive vs armor must also be taken into account. Pure damage should be considered only if it has both low status chance and low crit chance. Eg. Machete. Or you are using non-corrosive element vs armor. Or building a weapon for finishers.
