Competitive repetitive grinding, otherwise if you fall behind on levels and gear, you will be screwed over (you won't be able to defend yourself from other players.) Game's mainly slice of life, but the minor PvP community claims that the game is "advertised on PvP" albeit BDO actually not advertised that way. PvP players are internet alpha ego driven and seemingly act tough (through a computer). Forced PvP (attacks) rarely happens on one server (Uno), however it's seemingly like Boston inner city (conflict everywhere) in Fallout 4 in other servers. Character classes are mainly rock-paper-scissors in terms of effectiveness to each other. If you plan on combat, you may have a hard time defending yourself after level 45 (because you may get 1 - 2 hit killed by higher level players). However if you get lucky and somehow obtain the best gear for your class, you're going to love killing dozens of players in seconds. If you want to play the game like some slice of life simulator, stay below 45 (45 automatically enables pvp, can't turn off). If you can think of a random reason to kill someone, you're going to see it in BDO.

Also, if you can't seem to play a single game for more than a month, don't buy it.
