Children, transformed by a terrifying hellscape, locked into golems by a self interested government ensuring their own survival at all costs, tossed into a nightmare-scape dream, their only ally another lost child of that same government - one who spared them from the same extinction they were meant to extract on her race.

Yeah, keep your space samurai, I'll take the 'kavai space lollies'.

It might not "scream interesting" but at least being a child living vicariously through a high tech machine is definitely more relatable, especially the part where said child doesn't want to admit that that's exactly what they're doing.

id say the frames are a lot like evangilion.... but only time can tell

They might look like kids...but remember, second dream isnt a paradise. Their "dreams" they knew as real, most likely synced with the warframe's nervous system. They know how many they killed, they've felt their limbs blown off, they've heard the gurgle as blood fills the windpipe...they have been fighting a constant war for eons, perfecting every single method of death known to man, then inventing their own. Who knows how the ages have weighed upon their souls, if they even have those...who knows what pains they have suffered, how many unheard screams. Not children...not even fully human anymore...ancient beings trapped for eternity, with only a few known rules...

1.Love thy Mother, for she Saved and Redeemed you.

2. Love thy Brother and Sister, for they have fought beside you.

3. Keep the Balance.

4. Kill Anything that poses a Threat to the above.

Anything else...at this moment...remains unknown.
