Surya, King of the Sun!

Surya is inspired by a character featured in a short story I had to write for a writing class in college many years ago. Someday I'll rewrite the story and share it here.

In the story, Surya was a man who fought for the gods who lived on the moon, a fertile and green paradise. The gods squabbled with the Giants on the nearby world Tiamat over territory. In their anger, they destroyed Tiamat, causing all of the surviving Giants to go berserk and attack. Surya fought the Giants, wielding the power of the sun, and eventually triumphed, defeating their champion at the grave cost of the paradise on the Moon. When he finally discovered the gods' treachery, he tracked down the survivors and exacted sweet justice for their crimes.

The character Surya was inspired by various mythological heroes (Achilles, Lugh, Odin, Surya obviously, etc.), and thus is the frame.

The frame's thing is that he wields his spears of light to persevere through the most arduous of battle.

[ART WILL BE INCLUDED HERE, PLEASE REMAIN CIVILIZED WHILE I PURSUE THIS MATTER]

Stats:

  • Health: 200
  • Shields: 0
  • Armor: 450
  • Energy: 150
  • Sprint: 1.0

Abilities:

Passive:

  • Surya gains +1 armor for every 1 point of energy he currently has. This means conserving energy will make him more durable!
  • Doubled energy gain from all sources. (This could be applied to more frames. Looking at you, Frost.)
  • All spears cause stagger if they hit, does not apply to spears in the environment.

Javelin Ray:

  • Costs 25 energy.
  • Surya throws a spear for 70/X/X/X puncture damage which sticks in wherever it strikes.
  • Enemies contacting spears in the environment will be impaled for 30/X/X/X puncture damage and the spears will stick in them instead.
  • Multiple spears (up to 30) can be present on the battlefield at any given time.
  • Hold button to detonate spears, causing 100/X/X/X heat and 25/X/X/X electricity damage, and blinding foes facing the flash for 4/6/8/10 seconds.
  • Blast radius based on power range. Blind duration does not change.

Solar Rain:

  • Costs 50 energy.
  • Surya leaps high into the sky where he takes aim with his spears. (This phase functions similarly to Wukong's Cloud Walk power, consumes more energy)
  • Upon deactivating the power spears rain down where you land. Amount of spears increases based on power strength and time spent in the sky.
  • Spears spread out based on power range.
  • Each spear deals 30/X/X/X damage
  • Surya lands carrying a giant spear of light, dealing 210/X/X/X damage in an area around him, knocking down nearby foes. (unaffected by range)
  • Giant spear, when detonated, has doubled stats compared to standard spears.

Source of Life:

  • Costs 5 energy.
  • Each spear present increases energy cost by 5.
  • Sunlight surges through Surya's body, healing 10/20/30/40 health to himself and allies in a radius nearby.
  • All spears are drawn in toward Surya, each adding 5/10/15/20 to health restored.
  • Each spear consumed adds 10/15/20/25 % armor.
  • Each spear consumed adds 2/4/6/8 seconds to Source of Life's duration (lower limit capped at +1 second per spear)
  • Enemies with spears in them will be drawn toward Surya as well.

Sun's Rapture:

  • Costs 120 energy.
  • Surya calls upon the sun, unleashing its unbridled wrath.
  • Six giant spears emerge from the sky and pierce everything nearby for 120/X/X/X heat damage and 30/X/X/X electricity damage
  • Final enormous seventh spear emerges from the center immediately after the first six, dealing 240/X/X/X heat damage and 60/X/X/X electricity damage.
  • All spears present are detonated (functions like Javelin Ray's flash, but for slightly longer)
  • For each spear detonated, every enemy affected by Sun's Rapture (the attack, the detonations, or the flash) has 1/2/3/4 % armor removed.
  • Surya is invulnerable while casting Sun's Rapture.

I did this at about 3 in the morning, don't hit me if it turned out bad.

In closing, I've been dwelling on this concept for ages (literally years).

Tell me what you guys think.

Art looks great, but as stated above, you should probably slap some shields on the 'frame. Your warframe doesn't have any way to regenerate Health until it unlocks its 3rd ability, meaning that the levels before you unlock your 3 are likely going to be rough since you're constantly going to have your health chipped down with no reliable way to recover Health (except maybe the rejuvenation aura mod or Health Restore Gear).

Inaros gets a pass on 0 shields because he starts with a lifesteal ability + passive to keep his HP up + a way to revive himself if he every drops to 0. If you want to keep 0 shields, maybe add passive Health regeneration while standing in the light or some kind of HP restore on his 1?

Perhaps something like "Surya gains X% health whenever he staggers a blinded foe"? This could possibly add synergy between him and other frames (Mirage, Excalibur, Inaros etc.).
