Ignis or Amprex for Infested?

So....for Infested Excavation (Heiracon)

either Ignis with Combustion Beam

or Amprex with 125% Crit chance and Combustion Beam

for CC and AOE?

At low levels use Ignis w/Combustion Beam. Corrosive/Heat. More targets hit. Doesn't need Firestorm, stick to damage unless you've got a bunch of forma on it.

At higher levels (like Heiracon) Amperex is much better damage so switch over when Ignis falls off and doesn't do enough damage anymore. Add toxic to make it 100% Corrosive for shredding ancients. Combustion Beam doesn't scale upwards well so it's probably better to use that slot for more crit chance or crit damage if you've got the event mods Argon Scope or Bladed Rounds.

If you're aiming for CC go ignis with Vile Acceleration and Balst damage, but without combustion beam.

amprex for higher levels definitlly if u have primed rifle mutation use it....cz pmrex has very bad ammo economy

I like to use a radiation/elem. chance build Amprex against higher levels of Infested. It turns their Eximus units against everyone, so you can easily watch 4+ venomous Ancients just shred through the entire room.
