Some questions about buffs !

Hi everyone,
I'm posting so you can help clarify some things about buffs !

How does elemental buff work ?
I know it buffs "normal" damages, but what about elemental abilities ? Let's say I buff ember with my freeze force (cold augment); will she deal, let's say 300% more fire damage or will it turn in 300% blast damages ? Or won't it work at all ?
Kinda related : how would it work for saryn or banshee for example (since they already use combination status spell, i.e. viral and blast) ? Will it buff since both viral and blast require cold or not ?

uhmm i guess it just adds the 100% freeze dmg to the ability, if i remember right... (same for weapons).

It turns my toxin weapon corrosive when I get buffed by shock trooper. (Hurray for a buff making my weapon less effective).

I see no reason why it wouldn't affect elemental ability damage as well.
