Which elemental system would you prefer? Borderlands or Warframe?

I think slay wouldnt work in Warframe but otherwise it's pretty much the same except that it's a total conversion of damage and not a portion of it, so you have to specialize on the enemy you're facing even more.

Since Borderlands has Torgue... I'd have to go with Borderlands.

Assuming the characters come along with the system, I say Borderlands to be with my waifu Tannis and manfu Mr Torgue

Depends which Borderlands. BL2's Achilles heel is the fact that slag is basically mandatory in endgame, while TPS has that mildy amusing Cryo thing, but otherwise the elements are intended to act as hard counters to each type of health bar - fire/flesh, shock/shields, corrosive/armor. It's simple and effective. It works well in a game that's all about finding guns, picking them up, and rollin' with them till better ones come along.

Warframe's more about specialization and customization, though. I think the combo elements system, while it has problems with balance (who uses Gas anyway?) works well with the modding system we have. To each his own, really.

Borderlands had better elemental armor, but Warframe has as detailed damage system as Borderlands had. so....  Borderlands 65/35 Warframe.
