For example the plasma and dark sword have high charge damage so you would want % charge damage mods The Heat sword has high damage and high rate so you would want % damage and % rate The Jaw is also a high damage sword so you would want % damage with it Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

The Trend for swords right now is melee damage on WF and fire rate on sword... as much as you can stack. If you hover over the upgrades in the tree, it'll show base stats for everything (melee damage, charge damage, rate, etc) and how much the upgrade adds. JHarlequin Posted January 25, 2013 Share Posted January 25, 2013 When changing long guns or sidearms, the guns will have a comparison on the equip screen. Melee doesn't get that comparison currently. Still, once you have them equipped, your gear screen will show the damage under the weapons. As well as like people said, when on the upgrades screen if you hover over a damage slot, it will show the base value and what the increase will be. That being said, my cronus base damage is 35. The jaw sword base damage is 25. Unless something unusual happened, it seems pretty clear that for damage, the cronus has more. Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
