Zounderth
I'm trying to come up with something similar yet different from what we have now as Fissures. Here we go: First: Reactants are not required to open the relics, instead Reactants can be collected and traded with Baro for Relics. 10x Reactants = 1x Relic (Lith) 20x Reactants = 1x Relic (Meso) 30x Reactants = 1x Relic (Neo) 40x Reactants = 1x Relic (Axi) Not sure if Baro will have ALL the relics now or some of them. Not being able to just farm on a planet feels a bit too restrictive, so maybe we can still do that. Second: Turn Fissures into actual gates/portal called Eye of the Void. Eye of the Void will appear with a health bar. example: level 100. (depends on the Relic Era/Tier). The objective is to close EotV by damaging it to 5% of its health bar, then it closes releasing an energy that opens our Relics. During the time it appears, it will spawn endless enemies out, and corrupt any other enemies nearby just like in the game now. Players will be notified when EotV appears similar to the arrival of Stalker or his equivalent. Eye of the Void will spawn 2 special nullifiers, one to defend EotV (decrease damage done to EotV) and another to heal EotV(gradually) with its nullifier bubble. So this 2 units will always be near EotV. Eye of the Void has an aura (radius) that amplifies enemy damage near it, so the closer you fight near EotV the more dangerous it becomes. Eye of the Void releases a void blast from time to time. (the blast is visible and has a travel time). Any Tenno caught in this blast will be: drained all of their energy (not permanent) forced to only use melee weapons for x duration that Tenno(s) will be teleported away from the EotV. (most likely into a crowed of enemies) This will present more of a challenge to players as they need to damage EotV as quickly as possible, the longer it opens, the more enemy spawn occurs. However basic Tenno parkour maneuver will help you dodge the void blast : slide, dodge roll, back flip, bullet jump etc. so you need to be mindful of what is happening in the battle field. Visual and Audio ques will occur to telegraph the blast to players, so we have time to react. When Tennos successfully destroy Eye of the Void, it implodes and any existing void enemies will disappear. (perhaps leaving some Reactants behind). so basically you're done, so continue on to finish off the current mission objective (if not already) and extract. We get the same reward system where we are able to choose whatever we want from Relic brought by fellow Tennos. Void traces are random and we get it at the end of the mission. (maybe the best 2 Tennos that deal the most damage to EotV will get some bonus traces). TL:DR -So trade Reactants with Baro for Relics. -Destroying Eye of the Void opens your Relic. -Traces are rewarded at the end of mission randomly with Bonus traces given to 2 highest Tenno damage dealers to EotV. PoisonHD
No. Why? Because relics would be locked behind a two week time-wall.
