Lanka Or Snipetron

Wondering which one would be better since Lanka got the 20% crit chance from recent update plus the hit scan bonus when used with volt's electric shield.

Since I like fighting lvl 100 foes armor ignoring damage is very important. For anything else I guess the base 200 damage is well enough especially when modded with elemental mods.

If you had it before it was removed from the store you were allowed to keep it.

I prefer Lanka myself for 2 reasons:

- bigger clip 10/4

- many times faster reload speed

 

There is the need for charge, but Speed trigger takes care of it pretty good.

But I suggest testing yourself and see which you like more, I prefer using weapons that I like than using one that does 2 DPS more anyways...

i prefer the snipertron because of the armor ignoring damage which can be very helpful in higher level stuff

Lanka does electric damage so if your not planning to use it on infested it is certainly a powerful option. That 200 base damage is a massive advantage for mod scaling.

Lanka's eletrical damage is ineffective against Infested.

Lanka has to charge before shoting, meaning low rate of fire.

Lanka's bullets have travel time just like Despair and Kunai.

Lanka deals no damage when fired through Vauban's Bastille.

Lanka doesn't have any polarized slot.

 

Snipetron has small clip size (4 by default, 5 with mod) and long reload speed (3.8s by default, 2.6s with mod).

Snipetron has innate piercing armor damage and a V polarized slot (Split Chamber, Serration, Point Strike and Vital Sense can be sticked there. All of them are very useful in Snipetron).

 

As a testimonial from a Snipetron user (potatoed and forma'd), I one-shot 95% of the enemies in T3 Void.
