Shield of Shadows

I was never a huge fan of Nekros because I felt like never had much going for him, unreliable in every sense of the word. But now that he got some changes, that could change with the upcoming Nekros Prime!( Pls no 500 nitain :( ) I was just wondering if Shield of Shadows got absolutely boned with the changes, since each shadow only give 6% damage reduction, with a max of 42% damage reduction now? I remember seeing it could give upwards of 90%+ before. I don't even have the augment, wanted to know before I decide to spend platinum getting it.

I'm play testing currently, seems like 214% ish power str is the sweet spot.

Here's a peek at the numbers:

6% dmg reduciton per shadow x7 @100% power str  (42% dmg reduction)

6% dmg reduciton per shadow x7 @ 214% power str  (89.88% dmg reduction)

Showing up as 90% dmg reduction in the HUD, hope this helps.

Wait, so that means that a strength build will be better then a duration build?

I imagine results will vary, I run 155% dur (max primed cont), allows me to top off shadow health before most die, replace deed ones, and maintain a pretty comfy level of shadow damge reduction (90%).  I also use health conversion for mucho armor nekros.

you would still need duration due to the decay shadows have

I just feel like they seriously #*($%%@ up Nekros' ult, needing so many stats just to be usable. 90% is pretty good, but the health decay is too much imo. Will still not be using Nekros even when his prime comes, it seems.
