0 (PSN)Magician_NG
The only ways to acquire more platinum is to purchase it from the PS Store or trade items to players in exchange for plat that they bought or traded for themselves. P.S. - Well, you could also tune in to the weekly PS@4 every week on Tuesday or the bi-weekly devstream every other Friday for an opportunity to win a platinum prize. Both prizes are handed out during Twitch streams. If you chose the pistol over the kunai but want to switch to the kunai you can purchase the blueprint from the in-game market for credits. Unlocking mastery? Not sure exactly what you're asking there, but there is a mastery xp system in the game. Mastery xp is gained by taking a piece of equipment from level 0 to 30 for the first time. No additional mastery xp can be gained from that piece of equipment past that point. Not if you destroy and rebuild the equipment and not if you use a forma on that equipment and level it from 0 to 30 again. 0 Mcl_Blue
You don't need Platinum to buy weapons and frames. You can just craft those. On the matter of how do you get Platinum, by buying it with real money. Or trading for it in-game with other players, but you won't have anything they want if you just started 4 days ago. 0 Yzjdriel
You appear to be facing the problem of "how do I increase my inventory?" that many new players run into. You can purchase more Warframe inventory slots one at a time for 20 and more weapon slots two at a time for 12 . Mastery Rank is Warframe's way of locking certain items by progression. Put simply, you level up Warframes and weapons to gain Mastery XP, which upon reaching the required amount to gain a Mastery Rank, unlocks a test you can take. If you pass, you gain a Mastery Rank, access to more weapons and Warframes, and more loadout slots. Trading is unlocked at Mastery Rank 2, and the Syndicates become available at Mastery Rank 3. Please note that the 50 you started with is NOT able to be traded between players, and must therefore be spent. I highly recommend spending it on inventory slots. 0 (PSN)abbacephas
Just to add to the above regarding acquiring plat: Items that can be traded for platinum include mods (typically the rare gold ones and corrupted mods go for higher value) and prime parts. Corrupted mods can be acquired by running Derelict missions and having Dragon Keys (which require you to be in a clan to craft, as they are not available from the in-game market) to unlock vaults. This is probably something you will do much later after you've played the game a bit more. Prime parts are acquired by collecting Void Relics (which you get as rewards from running various mission types in the star chart, such as Excavations, Survivals, Defenses, etc) and then running what are called Fissure missions. Each relic will contain 1 of 5 (or is it 6) possible items that will be rewarded after you've completed a Fissure mission and collected 10 reactants (which is dropped by killing Corrupted enemies that appear in Fissure missions). Note: you do have to be at least Mastery Rank 2 before you can start trading.
