agrro and noise

so i was wondering as i played banshee today, does this game have an aggro mechanic and is it affected by noise and if so, how can it best be manipulated?,  will the big guy right in front of everyone with the booming shotgun get shot more by enemies choosing to aim at them or will they target the sniper at the back of the pack with a silenced weapon?

Enemies tend to prioritise the closest target they can detect. Their vision is somewhat limited by how bright an area is.

They will however come running if they hear gunfire. Most weapons will alert any enemy on the current tile, and sometimes adjacent ones as well.

Certain weapons that are listed as "Alarming" are actually very quiet and will only alert enemies within 5-10 metres (or thereabouts). The Latron Wraith and Bolto/AkBolto are examples of this.

If there are multiple players in a mission the enemy usually attacks whoever is nearest unless some sort of aggro drawing effect (eg Djinn's Attract ability) is active. If you're solo and the enemy is alerted, they will all come after you.

What i have also noticed is that the session host tend to get more attention. I cant say thats a true thing, if not, correct would be adequat ~

There is an aggro mechanic or "Threat level" mechanic in the game but it's just about been abandoned.

There are still a few abilities in the game which use it, Nyx's Chaos and Absorb for instance. Rhino's Iron skin used to have it but was removed. Banshee's Silence is another one which lowers her threat level.

Other than those few the game basically uses stages of alert status. Un-Alerted, Alerted (looking but not shooting) and Full Alert (Sees you / Alarms). Enemies will just generally shoot whatever is closer to them when Fully Alerted.
