Would minimum trace gain being affected by Fissure tier and/or enemy level be reasonable?

If you go solely by Fissure tier, a Lith trace reward's minimum can stay at 6, Meso could start at 15, Neo could start at 20, and Axi could guarantee at least 25 traces minimum. Playing harder fissures should give you a more reliable farming experience right? If a player is unlucky and only gets the minimum, it would still take 4 T4 Fissures to upgrade a relic for one improved chance at a rare drop.

With the relic system, people forming groups almost exclusively want Radiant relics; Traces are a new layer of farming introduced with relics if you're trying to get Prime gear with others, and after the tweaks to fissures so that they pop up throughout a mission, the rate of gain feels unreasonably low. Would this added consistency improve it?

warframe subreddit is getting alot of great suggestions for void trace and the terrible grind it requires just to get above 100 or more.

some people have suggested that they increase the minimum to 10 and increase the max to 35/40

a very popular suggestion is allow people to pick up extra reactant that could count towards an extra 30-ish void traces but there is a limit to how much you can pick up etc. so people just cant out right farm them in 1 go!

I want picking up extra reactants to add to your traces, 1:1 until you hit a cap of like 30

That'd be a good alternative too. There would be no reason not to get as many traces as possible every time though, maybe it could be a risk/reward thing: picking up extra reactant/traces would affect you in some way that makes it more challenging/interesting. But, if that were to be implemented, then for safety's sake people would only run the easy fissures so they don't risk losing. Maybe the maximum extra Traces you can pick up depends on Fissure Tier too; get more traces for more risk.

another thing, every 10 additional traces after the first 10 gives a debuff, like one of the dragon keys (hobbled, extinguished, bleeding, decaying) to actually add a risk factor

Yeah I was thinking about those; it would make sense since it's all void-related stuff.

Traces probably just aren't something DE intends for us to be able to max out in a single mission. We'd have to hear the exact 'why' from them.

DE whyyyyyyy!!!???

the gods remain ominously silent :(

Be nice if they were just trickle fed to you through the mission, 1 trace every 15 seconds. Some sort of BS about your "relic pulls traces out of it's poop-shoot when in proximity to a fissure". 1 per 15 seconds means enough traces to radiant-ify a relic in 25 minutes. Would kind of give a reason to stay longer perhaps. 1 per 15 seconds is still 5 hours for MR20+ caps so it hardly reduces the grind, just makes it more predicatble.
