taiiat
Quick Thinking having a stagger is fine - but the rules that define when you get staggered have issues. they're only based on incoming Damage amplitude, and nothing else. this means that in higher-ish Level Missions, you always get staggered. by everything. it would be much more beneficial if Quick Thinking staggered you based on the Category of attack you received. for example: Lancers and other Light Units would not stagger, period. this includes upgraded Light Units. Shotgun Units would stagger if you took a heavy hit from them (50%+ of the pellets) some Melee Units would stagger. Light Infested would have maybe only a chance to stagger. Butchers also only a chance? or just always. Powerfists would definitely stagger. Ancients definitely stagger. Crawlers would not stagger. Medium Units would be a mixed bag. Sniper or Marksman type Units would Stagger, while more general types probably would not Enemies such as Fusion MOA probably would not stagger, meanwhile Railgun MOA absolutely. original Seekers(Krakens) and Ballistas / Sniper Crewman would stagger, as would Nullifiers as long as they retain having a Sniper Rifle. meanwhile the other Seeker variants that use Machine Pistols of sorts, would not stagger. Eviscerators not sure - they kind've spam but they also deal high Damage. conflicting here but i'd probably go with would stagger. Drones/Ospreys would never stagger. Heavy Units would always stagger. with the exception of Heavy Gunner. due to Rate of Fire this one probably would not. Corpus Tech is difficult, it should stagger, but they are spammy, idk. Enemies with special Weapons on a case per case basis. Continuous Weapons would never stagger. Explosive Weapons maybe. area effect types of Weapons (Electric Mines, Toxin Clouds, other Environmental hazards) would never stagger. with those types of rules it could be a lot more intuitive, and consistent across even relatively small bands of Enemy Levels. however Quick Thinking shouldn't lose stagger - because it's form of Survivability tends to far outweigh other options in total EHP by a large margin. and with that in mind you have to pay something to jump up a bracket in survivability.
