Tarnas tried to stand up again. It definitely wasn't easy for him.

The machine pressed down even harder. The more he struggled the more force it exerted.

"Alright people! Let's get this ship in the ai- er...space!" He called out. He turned around and headed for his Scimitar. Once inside a grappling hook fired from the front, attaching itself to Tarnas' ship.

Svytoj walked over to his Liset, prepping its tractor beam as it rose from the ground.
"You coming with, Cheg?" Svytoj asked as his ship hovered over Tarnas's now fully patched Xiphos.
"Chegar?"
"You guys go ahead." Chegar replied as he started towards the thermal generator. "I wanna make sure of something..."
Svytoj shrugged. "Okay, Ed, you ready to get this show on the road?"

Aria jumps on top of the grappling wire before running on all fours over to the top of Edward's Scimitar. sprinting off the other end into the open air, she fires a ripline into thin air before swinging back upwards and flipping through the clouds to the pair's waiting crafts above.

Whether it was intentional or not, a footprint was left right in the middle of Edward's windshield.

Up on the top of the cloaked Liset, four shots rang out, muffled by the roaring wind. Each shot pierced through Tarnas' knees and ankles with unerring precision. Subduing attempt complete, the two crafts made their way back out into the sea of stars as the Valkyr climbed inside the Liset's emergency top hatch.

Svytoj locked on to Tarnas's ship, this Liset's tractor beam latching on and pulling the Xiphos from the snow and ice.
"Cargo is clear; We are ready for transport."

Chegar marched to the heart of the generator. It was still running.
The welds were holding, the thermal conduits weren't melting, the wiring showed no sparks.
But Chegar was still wary of it.
He watched the generator intensely: he wasn't going to be satisfied leaving it be until he knew that Tarnas was off world.

The Scimitar rises into the air slowly at first. Then, the engines kick in, and the ship blasts towards the outer limits of the planet. Before long, the ships leave Pluto and continue forward for quite some time. It had to have been at least an hour. Eventually the ships stop out in the middle of nowhere.

"Here should be good" Edward says uncoupling the hook

Several sentinels worked to patch the bullet holes left in Tarnas's ship.

"Alright. Let's cut him loose." Svytoj said as the tractor beam cut out.

There was a small device planted on the side of the generator. It looked quite a bit like an E.M.P. device.

Chegar looked over the region the device had been placed on. He quickly worked to remove the part of the generator that the device had been attached to, rerouting wires and conduits to keep the flow of heat up.
He moved the device and the material attached to it away from the generator.
After he had moved it to a distance that satisfied him, he went back to the generator, and began repatching it.
"If there's anyone there, I need bomb disposal near the core." Chegar said over the comm.

Edward sighed at the sight of the footprint
"Really?" He muttered

Without anything to hold the ship, it began to drift around in the endless space.
"Maybe he'll get lucky and someone will help him" He thought to himself as the Scimitar turned around and prepared to jump back to Pluto

"That's the plan." Svytoj said as he directed his Liset away from the marooned Xiphos, beginning on his way back to Pluto.

A map of the 4th ring shows up on Chegar and Svytoj's HUDs marking the location of a 0.5 km hole in the 4th ring made earlier made by the gung-ho Valkyr during the night when the reborn first made their appearance by the now roofless underground bunker.

"Hmm.." Svytoj set the coordinates for the crater. It would take a while before he arrived.

He make sure to say away from any critical area: he didn't want the bomb to cripple any civilian resources.

He looked for a region that he could reasonable recall his archwing; if he could, he'd fly the bomb away from the city.

Tarnas drifted. Further and further away from Pluto. Given his ship's velocity, it would be completely out of sight in close to a week. Then again, at this point, he could hardly call his Xiphos a ship. It was a prison cell. They had intended to use it as a sarcophagus. A coffin. Some way to stop him indefinitely. This is supposed to be his final resting place. This crippled Xiphos had no thrusters. No way to alter it's course. He was doomed to a lifetime in this emptiness.

But that wouldn't happen.

He had one advantage. He had Tycho. He could quite easily construct a small engine out of the remains of his Itzal's thrusters. He didn't have much propellant, so this would merely alter his trajectory, instead of returning maneuverability to the Xiphos. Still, it was a start. Maybe he would set a course for somewhere he could get spare parts, and then go from there.

He would have to lay low for a while. After the Spectator's message, half of the system would be hunting for him. Additionally, his recent injuries would make prolonged combat dangerous. This would be an excellent opportunity to deal with some more... personal problems. His other missions would have to be delayed or ignored due this setback.

First, Tarnas would have to find and kill Tavus. He had remembered hearing that Tavus was in the Hub. It would be an excellent place for Tarnas to go unnoticed by the people hunting him. After that, he might finally pay a visit to Earth again. He hadn't been back there in a long time. Plus, it would be an excellent time to explain to Tycho who she (Pronoun time!) was.

Tarnas knew that Chegar, Edward, that Frost, and the Valkyr needed to die eventually. He couldn't risk them interfering again. But that could take a while. Perhaps going back to Mars again would ease his mind. The next few months of near-isolation would almost certainly have a negative effect on his mind.

In the mean time, Tarnas would have Tycho to talk to, and enough supplies to survive for a very long time. This was also an opportunity to train. His arsenal was destroyed, but he knew he could get most of the weapons he had lost from various merchants. He still had his Tigris, Redeemer, Burston, Fang Knives, and his ammo stockpile with enough kunai and ammunition to survive at least a few encounters.

Tarnas simply had to wait.

(Well? How was it?)

(Also, I expected this post to be longer. Sorry.)

As the fires in the city were gradually put out, the people of New Moscow got to rebuilding. They were a hardy folk - the fact that they had survived millennia of invasions of oppressive regimes was a testament to their resolve. The Spectator watched the people rebuild from afar, contemplative. He had finally completed the commands given to him by the Tzar so long ago. He had restored the city, and the orokin were no longer around to retake it.

Now he could focus his attention solely on the great game. Several key players had revealed their hands, and it was time to capitalize on that. The Hierarchy may have been rebuffed on Pluto, but they had gained everything they needed to create their own armies of tenno - and that was a far greater victory than the capture of an isolated city on the edge of the system. The Spectator would have to do something to undermine them on that front - he couldn't afford to let his enemies have a tool that powerful.

As for the tenno who had aided in the reclaiming of the city, well, the Spectator was rather pleased with how they had turned out. There was a high chance that they would go after other players, eliminating competition for the Spectator. There was always the chance that they might one day come after him, but he had... safeguards.... in case that ever happened.

All in all, a successful endeavor. Now it was time to turn his gaze to Mars. Much had been going on on that wartorn planet.

The Spectator smiled, and his image flickered few a few seconds and faded away.

((My conclusion was originally going to be much longer, but I decided that most of the content would work better in the next RP. Thanks for joining everyone, and hopefully I'll see you in the sequel. I may have to wait a day or two due to stuff going on irl, but expect it soontm. I'll post in the ooc thread when it's up.))
